“The salt in my body
The ocean inside of me
An intoxicating tide
A current of aching And the sea grows heavy
Every pull is abyss-bound
I know that I must leave
I know that I can In sub-skin chasms
Surges my longing Uproots time
Erodes my dread Far from the shore
I glimpse faint memories
I let the heavy sea take me
I sense the tremor of the deep The ocean swells in me
Is the salt in my tears And the sea grows heavy
Every pull is abyss-bound I know that I must leave
I know that I can”

I unexpectedly got my security deposit back, so I splurged on this opalescent ammonite fossil at the monthly street market. It’s made of sea and bones and earth! Total Manannán/Cailleach material.

It’s a bit shinier in person. Iridescence is hard to photograph. But yeah. There’s a blue spiral inside a red one. Perfect for my favorite sea wizard.

Nuada, king of the Tuatha De Danann: Hey guys, we’d really like to settle in Ireland, but I see you folks are already living here. How about we go 50/50 and share? 🙂

The Fir Bolg: How about fuck you

Nuada:

See I love this shit because I have NO CLUE what the hell they’re talking about

But I’m fixin’ to find out

To research!

I wouldn’t research. Just read the myths instead and learn first hand.
