I have seen this phenomenon! But I have no idea what causes it either

seriously, i’m a big meteorology nerd but i cannot mentally model this behavior, i don’t know what’s happening. we’ve got… outflow… of some kind? but skinny? on multiple levels? i think roach is right it’s an old one who wants to feel pretty, that’s the only explanation
